Welcome to the website for the Scottish Society of Jersey.
The Scottish Society of Jersey (the SSJ) is based in Jersey in the Channel Islands. We aims to promote social and friendly contact amongst our members and to encourage the preservation of the history, folklore, language, literature and music of Scotland. We organize a range of activities and functions throughout the year including traditional events for St Andrew's, Hogmanay and Burns' Night.

Hold the date-The Society will be having a Summer Ball at the Pomme D'Or Hotel on 30 June 2012. The entertainment will showcase Scottish culture with the Jersey Pipe Band, Scottish country dancing and music in Liberation Square (weather permitting) before moving inside for food and more dancing. This is the first Summer Ball that the Society has had in recent memory and is sure to be a great night. Look out for the next Blether which will have full details of this event and will advise members how to get their tickets.
